TCP Viewer license and activation
TCP Viewer can be tried before purchase. Every TCP Viewer PRO plan removes the trial limits and unlocks the same PRO features. Choose a plan based on the number of Macs, update coverage, and whether your organization needs one shared Team key.
TCP Viewer source and official binaries are distributed under GPL-2.0-or-later. A paid plan activates PRO features in Proxyman's official builds and includes device seats, update coverage, license services, and email support. It does not limit the GPL rights for a copy you receive under the GPL. See Open Source for details.

2. Plans and prices
All prices are in US dollars and are one-time payments. TCP Viewer does not automatically renew a license.

Standard, Combo Deal, and Lifetime Deal are Individual plans. You may use them for personal or business work. A Team license does not add separate PRO features. It gives one organization a shared key, centralized seat management, and five or more Mac seats.

3. Team license
A Team license costs $39 per Mac seat and starts at five seats, so the minimum purchase is $195. Self-service checkout supports up to 100 seats. Contact tcpviewer@proxyman.com if you need more.
The purchase creates one shared Team key for one organization. Employees and contractors may use the key for that organization's work. Affiliates, clients, and separate legal entities need their own license unless Proxyman agrees to a different arrangement in writing.
Each activated Mac uses one seat. The owner of the purchase email can open License Manager, view the Macs using the license, and revoke an old Mac to free its seat. Seats may move between Macs and people in the same organization.
You can add seats for $39 each. New seats use the existing key and update date, so adding seats does not extend update coverage. Self-service checkout does not support reducing the number of seats or converting an Individual license into a Team license.
Team renewal costs $29 for every current seat and adds one year of update coverage. For example, renewing a five-seat Team license costs $145. Renewal is optional, manual, and applies to the full license. It is not a subscription.
Each Team Mac must verify the license online at least once every seven days. Temporary connection failures do not immediately stop PRO access. Access pauses after the seven-day deadline until the Mac verifies the license again. Builds covered by the license remain eligible after update coverage ends, but Team Macs must continue the seven-day checks.
Anyone with the Team key may start a renewal or add-seat checkout. Only the owner of the purchase email can manage devices. Proxyman sends the confirmation to the owner and, when different, the payer.
4. Activate a license
- Buy a license from the TCP Viewer website.
- Find the license key in the purchase email.
- Open TCP Viewer.
- Choose TCP Viewer → Buy TCP Viewer License….
- Select Activate, enter the key, and select Activate again.
When activation succeeds, the window reports that TCP Viewer PRO is active on this Mac. Share a Team key only within your organization. Keep other keys private. Activation requires an internet connection. Team licenses work offline for up to seven days after a successful verification. Standard, Combo, and Lifetime plans retain their existing offline policy.
Update TCP Viewer before activating a Team key. On the first launch of the app version that supports Team licenses, an existing activation is verified online once and migrated automatically. Its saved credential is kept if the connection fails; reconnect and reopen the license window to retry.
5. Move a seat to another Mac
Remove the old Mac before activating a new one:
- On the old Mac, choose TCP Viewer → TCP Viewer License….
- Select Remove License.
- Install TCP Viewer on the new Mac and activate the same key.
If the old Mac is unavailable, open License Manager. Use the email address from your purchase to request an access link, then revoke the old device. Try activation again after the seat is free.
6. Updates and renewal
Standard, Combo, and Team licenses cover builds released during the first year after purchase. The app keeps working after that window, but a newer build may ask you to renew before PRO can be used in that build. A Lifetime Deal includes future updates and does not have this yearly update window.
You can renew from the warning shown by the app or from the renewal page. Renewal is available within six months of the update date or afterward. It adds one year after the later of the current update date and the renewal date. The key and original purchase date stay the same. Renewal is manual, with no subscription or automatic charge.
For Standard and Combo Deal, renewal costs $19 per seat. That is $19 for Standard and $38 for Combo Deal. Team renewal costs $29 per seat and covers all current seats. Lifetime Deal does not need renewal.
7. Fix common activation problems
No seats available
Remove an old device in License Manager, then activate again. For a Team license, you can also select Add Seats.
This build is not covered
The app version was released after your update window. Renew the license, or install a release that was covered by your purchase.
The key is rejected or activation cannot connect
Check the key for extra spaces and confirm that the Mac is online. If the issue continues, email tcpviewer@proxyman.com with your TCP Viewer version and purchase email. Do not post your license key in a public GitHub issue.
Online verification is required
Reconnect, confirm that the Mac's date and time are correct, and choose Retry Verification. Team access pauses at the seven-day deadline, including while the app stays open. Your credential stays saved so reconnecting can restore access. If updates do not cover the installed build, choose Renew License and reopen the license window after payment.
This Mac was removed or the license was disabled
For a removed Mac, select Activate License and enter the shared key again if you are entitled to an available seat. For a disabled license, contact support.
