End User License Agreement
The standard terms for installing, activating, and using TCP Viewer for macOS.
Last updated May 18, 2026
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you and the Proxyman Team for TCP Viewer, including the macOS app, license keys, paid features, updates, and related services.
By downloading, installing, activating, or using TCP Viewer, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use TCP Viewer.
1. License Grant
Subject to this Agreement and your compliance with it, the Proxyman Team grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use TCP Viewer on macOS for personal or business packet capture, packet inspection, debugging, and related development workflows.
Your license is tied to the license type you purchased:
- Standard License: use on 1 Mac.
- Combo License: use on 2 Macs.
- Lifetime Deal License: use on 2 Macs with lifetime update coverage.
The number of permitted devices is also shown in your license details and License Manager.
2. Free Use, Trial Use, And Paid Features
TCP Viewer may include free, trial, or limited functionality. Paid features require a valid license key. You may evaluate the app before purchasing, but paid features, device seats, update coverage, and support are available only according to the license you purchase.
The Proxyman Team may change free or trial limits over time, including which features are available before activation.
3. License Activation And Device Seats
When you activate TCP Viewer with a license key, the app may contact the TCP Viewer backend to validate the license and register the Mac as an active device. Device seats may be managed through License Manager, including revoking an old device before activating a new one.
You are responsible for keeping your license key secure. You may not share, publish, resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or distribute a license key except as expressly allowed by the license you purchased.
4. Updates And Support
Standard and Combo licenses include one year of updates from the purchase date unless otherwise stated at checkout. Lifetime Deal licenses include lifetime updates for TCP Viewer. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the TCP Viewer product, not the lifetime of any individual person, device, company, operating system, or third-party dependency.
The Proxyman Team may provide support by email or other support channels. Support availability, response time, and scope may vary.
5. Refund Policy
TCP Viewer offers a 7-day refund policy for eligible purchases. To request a refund, contact the Proxyman Team with the purchase email and license information. Refunds may be denied for abuse, fraud, chargeback misuse, or requests outside the stated refund window.
6. Ownership
TCP Viewer is licensed, not sold. The Proxyman Team and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in TCP Viewer, including the app, branding, website, license system, documentation, and related services.
Some TCP Viewer source code or dependencies may be available under open-source licenses, including GPL-compatible terms where applicable. To the extent an open-source license grants rights that differ from this Agreement, the open-source license controls for that open-source component.
7. Restrictions
Except where allowed by applicable law or an applicable open-source license, you may not:
- Circumvent licensing, activation, seat limits, or paid feature checks.
- Share, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or transfer your license key without permission.
- Use TCP Viewer to build or distribute a competing license bypass, activation bypass, or unauthorized derivative of paid binaries.
- Remove or alter copyright, trademark, license, or attribution notices.
- Use TCP Viewer in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
- Interfere with TCP Viewer backend services, checkout, licensing, update delivery, or security systems.
8. Packet Captures And Your Content
You are responsible for the packet captures, pcap files, pcapng files, exported sessions, logs, and other content you create, inspect, import, or share using TCP Viewer.
TCP Viewer is a packet analysis tool. You should only capture traffic that you are authorized to inspect. You are responsible for complying with workplace policies, privacy rules, security obligations, and applicable laws when capturing, storing, exporting, or sharing network traffic.
9. Privacy
TCP Viewer handles app analytics, crash reports, and license activation data as described in the Privacy Statement. TCP Viewer is not designed to upload packet contents, exported capture files, browsing history, DNS queries, hostnames, URLs, or protocol payloads to the Proxyman Team.
Read the Privacy Statement.
10. Third-Party Services And Components
TCP Viewer may use third-party services and components, including payment processing, crash reporting, analytics, open-source libraries, and operating system APIs. Your use of those services or components may be subject to their own terms and licenses.
Stripe-hosted Checkout handles payment processing. Sentry may be used for crash reporting. Open-source components remain governed by their respective open-source licenses.
11. Termination
This Agreement remains in effect until terminated. You may terminate it by uninstalling TCP Viewer and stopping use of the app and license key.
The Proxyman Team may suspend or terminate access to paid features, license activation, updates, or related services if you violate this Agreement, misuse a license key, attempt to bypass activation, commit fraud, abuse refund or chargeback processes, or use TCP Viewer unlawfully.
Upon termination, you must stop using TCP Viewer and delete copies of paid binaries or license materials in your possession, except where retention is allowed by law or an applicable open-source license.
12. Disclaimer Of Warranties
TCP Viewer is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Proxyman Team disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Network debugging and packet analysis can involve complex systems, incomplete captures, third-party protocols, and operating system behavior. You are responsible for validating results before relying on them in production, security, legal, or business decisions.
13. Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Proxyman Team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, security incidents, or procurement of substitute services arising from or related to TCP Viewer or this Agreement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Proxyman Team's total liability for any claim related to TCP Viewer or this Agreement will not exceed the amount you paid for the TCP Viewer license giving rise to the claim during the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability.
14. Export And Legal Compliance
You are responsible for complying with export control, sanctions, privacy, cybersecurity, employment, and other laws that apply to your use of TCP Viewer. You may not use TCP Viewer where prohibited by law.
15. Changes To This Agreement
The Proxyman Team may update this Agreement from time to time. When meaningful changes are made, the "Last updated" date will be revised. Continued use of TCP Viewer after an update means you accept the updated Agreement.
16. Contact
For questions about this Agreement, licensing, refunds, or support, contact the Proxyman Team through the support channels listed in TCP Viewer or on the TCP Viewer website.
